Better Late Than Never....It's a GIRL!

So after much anticipation, the blessed event FINALLY came. At 0818 this morning the youngest member of the McDonough brood was born :

Rileigh Elizabeth McDonough
7 lbs 6 oz
21 1/4 inches

Last night around 11:30 Kathy started having her usual peek-a-boo contractions but this time in a matter of 20 minutes she was having them 3 minutes apart and with renewed intensity; so off to the hospital we went. The first 3 hours were the toughest (pre-epidural nerve block) but then it was pretty smooth sailing. by 8am she had achieved maximum mission readiness, and by 0818 it was all over. Mother and baby are doing splendidly and enjoying much needed sleep.

Congratulations to you all! I am glad everyone is doing well. Rileigh must have said, "Well, if they are bringing out the heavy weapons tomorrow, I might as get this over with already."

Love you guys and everyone here says hello and congrats.

Mazel tov! Can't wait to meet the newest McDonough. She doesn't know what kind of life she's in for. Can you try to stay in 1 country for just a little while with this one, please!
Tell Rileigh that Aunt Tracie & Uncle Ray send hugs & kisses.
Make sure you spoil that wife of yours. She has a lot of competition with all the other females in your life (including me)

Send her our love & congrats!
Love,
Tra & Ray

P.S. I get to make the baby her first bowl of pasta!!!

Awesome! Congratulations. You prob haven't had to change any diapers since the 'nam. Knowing her father I'm sure that she will crave scotch instead of formula. Start her out early! She' beautiful. But you are the father, right?
